Communications & Press Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all communications channels and messaging
- Manage relationships with media and press
- Coordinate communications strategy with marketing activities
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms
- Lead the website, social media, and marketing teams
- Handle press inquiries and media relations
Key Activities:
- Develop communications calendar and content strategy
- Draft and distribute press releases
- Coordinate interviews and media appearances
- Oversee website content and updates through Website Lead
- Review and approve all external communications
- Manage crisis communications if needed
- Track media coverage and communications metrics
Skills Required:
- Excellent writing and editing abilities
- Media relations experience
- Strategic communications planning
- Brand management understanding
- Leadership and team coordination
Time Commitment:
- Varies by role and proximity to events
- Expect increased time commitment as events approach
- Most year-round roles: 2 – 5 hours per week
- Event days typically require full-day commitment
