Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all technical aspects of conference
  • Manage A/V, recording, photography, networking, and security
  • Ensure technical infrastructure supports event needs
  • Coordinate with venue on technical requirements and restrictions

Key Activities:

  • Assess technical needs for all presentation spaces
  • Coordinate equipment rental or procurement
  • Manage network infrastructure setup
  • Oversee physical and cybersecurity measures
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during event
  • Ensure backup plans for critical technical systems

Skills Required:

  • Strong technical background
  • A/V and networking knowledge
  • Problem-solving under pressure
  • Security awareness
  • Vendor and equipment management

Time Commitment:

  • Varies by role and proximity to events
  • Expect increased time commitment as events approach
  • Conference roles ramp up significantly 1 – 2 months before the event
  • Event days typically require full-day commitment
