Code of Conduct
A core goal of BSides Charlotte is to provide an enjoyable and fulfilling environment. To help facilitate that goal for the benefit of all, participants (attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers) at BSides Charlotte are required to agree with our code of conduct.
To be clear, this includes any BSides Charlotte affiliated virtual space such as group chats and video conferencing platforms and we expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everyone.
In order to use the Discord Server you must read and agree to the code of conduct. Thank you.
A Little More Specifically…
BSides Charlotte is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion.
We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.
All content, including public communication on virtual platforms, should be appropriate for a diverse group and be generally professional in nature.
While some satire, sarcasm, and jokes may be okay, those that are exclusionary, racist, sexist, harassing, or offensive to participants are not. Please consider others and their possible feelings when posting.
Participants violating these rules may be removed from BSides Charlotte platforms and required to leave conference venues at the discretion of BSides Charlotte staff. No refund will be provided.
If you are being harassed, notice harassment, or have other concerns, please contact a staff member immediately.
