Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all conference content including presentations, workshops, and villages
  • Manage speaker operations and workshop coordination
  • Ensure high-quality, diverse, and engaging programming
  • Coordinate with CFP Committee (Board of Directors) on speaker selection
  • Create and manage conference schedule

Key Activities:

  • Work with Board on Call for Papers (CFP) process
  • Coordinate speaker confirmations and communications
  • Build conference schedule with appropriate breaks and timing
  • Manage room assignments for talks and workshops
  • Ensure diversity in speaker lineup and topics
  • Coordinate A/V and technical requirements with Technical Operations
  • Handle speaker changes or cancellations

Skills Required:

  • Program management experience
  • Understanding of cybersecurity topics and trends
  • Scheduling and logistics coordination
  • Communication and relationship management
  • Decision-making under time constraints

Time Commitment:

  • Varies by role and proximity to events
  • Expect increased time commitment as events approach
  • Conference roles ramp up significantly 1 – 2 months before the event
  • Event days typically require full-day commitment
